Radio Guide 213 (RG-213) spec coaxial cable from the ASAP Electrical range. This cable is designed for transmitting radio communication signal, making it suitable for use on board boats. The cable features a centre core surrounded by a dielectric insulator, which is then protected by a metallic shield and a plastic jacket. The design does not permit electric and magnetic fields from outside the cable from interfering, and at the same time allows minimal leakage from inside the cable.

The dielectric insulator in this RG-213 is made from solid polyethylene which results in a time delay of 1.54 nano-seconds per foot. The insulating layer is 7.2mm thick and the whole cable measures 10.3mm in diameter. The cable features a single, braided shield to protect the signal carrying core.
