Water lubricated shaft bearings made from a synthetic nitrile rubber inner with a non-metallic GRP case. GRP is a non permeable material with very little hygroscopic absorption, providing more stability as they do not swell in water like phenolic shaft bearings. They are also galvanically stable, helping to prevent galvanic corrosion. This makes them ideally suited to aluminium, steel or GRP hulled boats and applications where corrosion may be an issue.
GRP propeller shaft bearings are available for Imperial shafts from 1" to 3-1/4" and Metric shafts from 25mm to 75mm.
