An anti-siphon valve will allow water to flow in one direction but prevents water being siphoned back pass the valve and is recommended for use in installations such as 'below waterline' applications of engines with wet exhausts, toilet systems and pumping systems to name but a few. Most of the valves feature a check valve in the head however others work by running a hose from the valve to a skin fitting above the waterline.
