These cables are designed for transmitting radio communication signals, making them suitable for use on board boats. The cables feature a centre core surrounded by a dielectric insulator, which is then protected by a metallic shield and a plastic jacket. The design does not permit electric and magnetic fields from outside the cable from interfering, and at the same time allows minimal leakage from inside the cable.
