Description

The Victron Quattro is a combined power inverter and battery charger in one unit. The QUA123020010 is suitable for charging 12 volt batteries from 187-265V AC input, as well as producing a true sine wave 230V AC output from these 12 volt batteries.

This model features two AC inputs, with an integrated transfer switch, and two AC outputs. One of the outputs is only live when AC is available on one of the inputs, so this can be used for appliances where draining the battery would not be desirable. When connected to shore power or a generator, the Quattro will draw a large current and use it to power any AC loads connected to the output side. Any leftover power will then be used for charging batteries, while protecting the supply side from overloading. If there are periods where AC load exceeds the input power, either by adding more appliances or by the input power being disconnected, the multi will switch to battery power within 20 milliseconds, so fast that electronic equipment will continue to operate without any disruption.

If more power is required, up to 6 Victron MultiPlus units can be used in parallel operation. Each unit also features protections against problems such as short circuits, over / under voltage, high temperatures etc to prevent failure. Monitoring and controlling your Victron MultiPlus is easy too, through the Color Control GX, the Venus GX or any smartphone/tablet or computer with internet connection.
