Chrome plated brass tiller hinge with stainless steel joining pin, suitable for use with 1-1/4" inside diameter tiller tubes. The tiller hinge, also known as the tiller gudgeon is used in the connection of the tiller to the rudder. It allows the tiller to hinge up and down, which is useful to provide more space when the tiller is not in use, as well as making maintenance of both the rudder and tiller easier.
