What do we do with this information, and who do we share it with?

When creating an account with ASAP Supplies, the information we request from you will be held in our ecommerce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform. This is a website which is hosted by our trusted web hosting company, who also host our main website. You have the right to withhold information from us, as only basic details are required in order to fulfil an order.

When placing an order with us, we need to share some of your personal information with some other companies in order to fulfill the order. Your payment will be taken securely through trusted third party payment providers and your delivery information will be passed through a shipping platform to our carefully selected couriers for you to receive your items. Only data relevant for them to complete their part of the order is passed to these companies. Occasionally, you can request parts to be sent to you straight from one of our suppliers rather than waiting for it to come into stock at ASAP. For this we will share your name and address to our supplier to enable them to ship to you.

When getting in contact with us via email or through the website live chat system, basic levels of information and the conversation trail will be retained in these systems. This would be for us to be able to contact you back or if there is a need to refer to these correspondences for a business need.

When subscribing to our newsletter, your data will also be shared with our email marketing partner. This includes basic information as well as any relevant interests and account details in order to make the newsletters more appropriate to you. We send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you provided when consenting to receive our newsletter. You can manage which emails you receive from this service by clicking "Manage Preferences" at the bottom of any of these emails, or you can "Unsubscribe" and you will not receive any further newsletters.

When applying for credit accounts, we will make searches about you or your company through a credit reference agency, as well as potentially contacting any companies you have given us as trade references. Similarly, if your company is given to us as a trade reference, the details provided will only be used in reference to that trade reference.
