The Sherwood 15955 mechanical pump shaft seal kit fits the early P1700 series Sherwood pumps. Typical applications include Sherwood P1700 pumps P176, P1710, P1716, P1722. P1726, P1727 and P1730.
Later P1700 Sherwood pumps, and those with modified pump shaft 24470 used seal kit SW 23799
The latest mechanical seal is a silicon carbide version, SW 25115, for use with shaft SW 25120 only.
Please note: You must fit the correct seal. Later seals will NOT fit correctly and may cause leaks and shaft damage.
