7F7 Borgwarner Replacement Gearbox to Engine Damper Drive Plate from R&D Marine.
Fitted between the marine engine and the gearbox input shaft, a damper drive plate is designed to transmit the engine power to the gearbox, whilst reducing transmitted gear noise and providing a cushioned drive when selecting gear. All R and D Damper Drive plates include a 'failsafe' design.
Also called the Driven Plate, Damper Plate or Clutch Plate, the 7J7 Damper Drive Plate is from the R and D Loop element range. The 7F7 drive plate is designed as a replacement for Velvet Drive Borgwarner plate 10.04.650.404 ( 10-04-650-404 ) AS7-K1C and AS14-K1C depending on torque application.
The technical details:
- Spline: 26 teeth 20/40 DP (35.4mm diameter) for Borgwarner 70, 71, 72 & 73 gearboxes, PRM Inline gearboxes, Paragon P series, Technodrive TN90, 170, 260, 345, 485, 545 & 880 gearboxes, TMP 1200 & 1500, Twin Disc 501 & 502 gearboxes, some Volvo saildrives, ZF IRM220A & Hurth HBW 250 and HSW gearboxes.
- Diameter of drive plate back plate which bolts to the engine flywheel: 180.8mm (7.12")
- Back plate fixing holes: One single row of fixing holes, 9 x 6.35mm on 167.4mm PCD
- Maximum thickness of drive plate: 36mm (1.41")
Fitted with a robust F loop element for 270 Nm 200 lb ft torque, the 7F7 drive plate can be mounted either round on the flywheel and rotated in either direction. This drive plate element will provide linear stiffness up to 3 degrees of deflection and is failsafe.
