Clutched power take off unit for PRM 1000 marine gearboxes.

Important note for PRM 1000 Gearboxes PTO (Power Take Off)
A change in the valve block occurred for PRM gearboxes on September 8th 2004, when PRM Marine started fitting the 'soft shift' valve block as standard. This 'soft shift' valve block cannot however be used with a PRM Clutched PTO, as the pressure drop in neutral would cause a loss of the PTO drive or the PTO clutches to slip.
This is the reason why the older PRM PTO unit (MT0205) could be bought on it's own. Now, if a PTO is required for an aftermarket gearbox, depending on age, it would need to be PRM-MT0528, as this includes the NON soft shift valve block as part of the PRM PTO package.
