The Mastervolt BI 702-S is a battery split charger / isolator to provide independent charging 2 batteries. The isolator is based on conventional diode technology, which does result in a diode voltage drop (ca. 0.6 V). This can be compensated for by adapting the output voltage of the charger or alternator connected to the isolator. The units are made from corrosion proof materials, with all electronic components encased in synthetic materials. They are a compact, fully solid state, preventing opportunities for wear.
