The Centek 1400040 Vernatone Round muffler is suitable for all inboard engines. The Vernatone is suitable for use with petrol (gas) or diesel but must only be installed above the waterline. It has better sound absorbing properties of 22-28 dB depending on the engine it is being used with.
This is a MKII version of the Vernatone Round. It features a better sound rating and has slightly offset ports, with the outlet above the inlet.
The Centek range of exhaust mufflers are made from heat resistant GRP (glass reinforced plastic) along with the rest of their wet exhaust system components. Because of this construction, the mufflers are corrosion resistant and can withstand heat up to 177°C (350°F). The Centek exhaust range is ABS, ABYC, Lloyds and UL approved.
The Centek Vernatone is only suitable for use in wet exhaust systems and should be used with approved rubber marine exhaust hose.
