Centek protecting end cover for through hull exhaust outlets, made from glass reinforced plastic (GRP). This is the same material used in all their wet exhaust system products, due to its robust and lightweight properties.
The flap acts as a check valve to help prevent sea water entering the exhaust outlet and flowing towards the engine. Without a flap, water can easily flow into the exhaust line when the boat is stopping or travelling slowly.
This is the Centek part number 1200344, which is a replacement flapper for their range of through hull exhaust outlets.
