Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Duration: Permanent, part-time

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week - flexible

Experience: 1 year in Accounts (required)


Job Outline:

As an Accounts Assistant, the key responsibilities of the role include the processing and maintaining of both Sales and Purchase Ledger.


Key Duties / Responsibilities:

• Daily activities within accounts, reconcile daily receipts, accurate payment allocations, matching invoices with delivery notes, answering accounts calls and emails

• Credit Control and managing account customers in line with KPI’s

• To process customer refunds and queries both by phone and email

• Sending out weekly credit account invoices to customers

• Record and allocate cash collections, and reconcile the cash at the end of each month

• Carry out month end duties - statements and reports as per procedures

• To process purchase ledger invoices

• Allocate BACS payments

• Process petty cash payments

• Work to deadlines

• Opening and distributing daily post

• To attend relevant training courses

• Awareness of Health and Safety in the area of work

• To assist in daily activities in relation to Business Goals and projects

• Awareness of Health and Safety in the area of work

All roles are required to be flexible and undertake tasks in line with the smooth running of the business and may be requested to work outside of standard office hours and in other locations as necessary.
