27S14 Boat Engine Damper Drive Plate from R&D Marine
Fitted between the marine engine and the gearbox input shaft, a damper drive plate is designed to transmit the engine power to the gearbox, whilst reducing transmitted gear noise and providing a cushioned drive when selecting gear. All R and D Damper Drive plates include a 'failsafe' design.
Also called the Driven Plate, Damper Plate or Clutch Plate, the 27S14 Damper Drive Plate is from the R and D Loop element range. Popular applications for the 27S14 drive plate include marine engines with SAE11.5 flywheel fixings.
Marine clutch plate technical details:
- Spline: 10 teeth SAE 1 5/8 10T (41.3mm diameter) for Self Change Gears MRF350HD Gearbox.
- Diameter of drive plate back plate which bolts to the engine flywheel: 352.5mm (13.875")
- Back plate fixing holes: One single set of fixing holes 8 x 10.6mm on 333.4mm PCD
- Drive plate maximum thickness: 38.1mm (1.50")
Fitted with a robust general purpose S type loop element for 1015 Nm 750 ft lb torque, the 27S14 drive plate can be mounted either round on the flywheel and rotated in either direction. This drive plate element will provide linear stiffness up to 3 degrees of deflection and is failsafe.
