17N13 Boat Engine Gearbox Damper Drive Plate from R&D Marine
Fitted between the marine engine and the gearbox input shaft, a damper drive plate is designed to transmit the engine power to the gearbox, whilst reducing transmitted gear noise and providing a cushioned drive when selecting gear. All R and D Damper Drive plates include a 'failsafe' design.
Also called the Driven Plate, Damper Plate or Clutch Plate, the 17N13 Damper Drive Plate is from the R and D Loop element range. Common applications for the 17N13 drive plate include the Thornycroft 230 & 345 marine engines.
R&D 17N13 clutch plate technical details:
- Spline: 10 teeth SAE 1 1/8" x 10T (28.6mm diameter) for PRM 175, PRM 250, PRM 265 and PRM 310 gearboxes.
- Diameter of drive plate back plate which bolts to the engine flywheel: 234mm (9.212")
- Back plate fixing holes: One single set of fixing holes, 6 x 13.1mm on 210mm PCD
- Drive plate maximum thickness: 36mm (1.41")
Fitted with a type N robust, general purpose loop element for 610 Nm 450 ft lb torque, the 17N13 drive plate can be mounted either round on the flywheel and rotated in either direction. This drive plate element will provide linear stiffness up to 3 degrees of deflection and is failsafe.
