Description

This 4 position key start switch is suitable for use with petrol or diesel engines where heat start is not required. Not IP rated, this switch does have an internal dust shield but should not be fitted in exposed applications such as open cockpit boats. The key switch can be protected by a splash proof flip cover 709593 (supplied separately). This key start switch features 4 positions, Off / Aux / Ign / Start (no stop position) and is suitable for through panel mounting.

Each key start switch is supplied with two keys.

Use relays for heavy load circuits.

Terminal ratings for the 709583 engine key start switch:

- Key switch position '0' - All circuits off - Key can be removed.

- Key position R - 1st click anti-clock of '0', set - Terminal 75-30, 25amp @ 12V, 12amp @ 24V, continuous - Key can be removed.

- Key position I, 2nd click clockwise of '0', set - Terminal 75-30, 25amp @ 12V, 12amp @ 24V, continuous - Key cannot be removed.

- Key position I to II, 2nd & 3rd click clockwise of '0', returns to 'I' - Terminal 30-15, 20amp @ 12V, 10amp @ 24V, continuous - Key cannot be removed.

- Key position II, 2nd click clockwise of '0', returns to 'I' - Terminal 50-30, 50amp @ 12V, 25amp @ 24V, short time - 12amp @ 12V, 6amp @ 24V, continuous - Key cannot be removed.
