Control cables come in various makes, types and lengths according to the load required and the equipment involved but generally, end fitting connections and cable travel are standard. The 330 (33C) or 330X (33C) Supreme control cables can be used in the majority of inboard engine applications.
Commercial applications and heavy motor cruiser applications require the 330X (33C) Supreme or the 430 (43C) control cables. 64C control cables are less common, being more suited to larger vessels in the commercial sector.
The UD617 control cables were once popular on applications with manual clutch gearboxes. As these gearboxes have been replaced with the modern early change boxes, UD617 control cables are more often found on winch or pump control levers.
To measure your control cable or stop cable length, simply measure from the tip of one end of the cable including the end fittings to the other.
