The 43221 Faria Beede Competition Square style synchroniser gauge features a black plastic bezel, black dial, white pointer and graphics displaying engine synchronisation, with perimeter back lighting and a domed glass lens.
A synchroniser is a useful way of finding out the relative speed of 2 separate engines, which must be the same type, have the same number of cylinders and use the same pick up method. The Faria 43221 gauge indicates which side is going slower and helps you aim for a true steady path by achieving the middle of the synchroniser.
Magnetic pick up synchronisers such as the Faria 43221 are only suitable for engines using magnetic signal pick up, where the sender is fitted next to the flywheel of diesel engines and counts the ring gear teeth to attain a reading.
