The Mermaid Merlin is a 4 cylinder, naturally aspirated marine diesel engine, based on the Ford FSD425 2.5 litre direct injection industrial diesel engine, and engine used buy many other marinisers such as Thornycroft Engines and Lancing Marine. The spares listed are mostly suitable for the naturally aspirated Merlin only. We do not specialise in spares for the Turbo Merlin marine engine. The inclusion of items on this page does not infer that these items are genuine Mermaid spares. However, we do source many spare parts direct from the manufacturers, such as genuine Jabsco and Johnson pump spares. Please check carefully the suitability of the item for your own application. Gasket sets listed do not contain gaskets for marinisation components. Requests for Mermaid spares should always be accompanied by the engine number / build list.
