Oil is a great resource for the modern industrial world, it also creates a danger to the environment. Spilled oil can kill wildlife, can release harmful chemicals and fumes and can spoil the clean look of a marina or boat. While prevention is the best cure for the damage being done to the environment, the ability to clean up the problem is also paramount. Through our work with manufactures, we are now able to offer a range of products to remove oil from water on a small to large scale. From a bilge sock to remove oil from a vessels bilges before it gets pumped out, to oil booms for rapid spill containment, our range of products can be used to tackle unwanted oil at the source. Traditional and expensive oil removal techniques such as clay/carbon, OWS/coalesces and hydrocyclones could only remove small amounts of oil and it took time. Through research and development, new technologies have been developed to create products that can trap more oil at less cost. Hydrophobic products absorb and coalesce hydrocarbons, but not water. This means that our sock, boom and pads are an excellent way of removing hydrocarbons without the added cost, weight and inconvenience of disposing of absorbed water. Our CleenLife bilge water polishing systems are designed to remove any hydrocarbons in your bilge water before it gets pumped off the vessel. This ensures that you are complying with local regulations and keeping the waterways you use clean. We are working hard with our supplies to add products to the CleenLife brand so that we can help you keep our environment clean and safe for the future.
